Arlene Liska has passed away at age 97. She and her husband, Danny Liska, are known from the book "Two Wheels to Adventure" documenting a ride from Alaska to Argentina starting in the late 1950's and ending in the 1960's. This book may be where they came up with calling all these bike models today "Adventure Bikes". They also rode around the world, all on a BMW. Danny was a great rider and Arlene was a great enabler, making it possible for those trips to occur. Even in her later years she was full of spunk and was eager to be involved in any effort, especially those involving motorcycles. Her funeral service is tomorrow in Niobrara, NE. She had a special relationship with Team Strange headquartered in Minnesota and many of the long distance riders entering their events. Rider meetings in Heaven just got a lot more interesting.

A Funeral service and celebration of life for Arlene Block Liska, age 97 of Verdigre will be held at 1100 a.m. November 15 at the Lutheran Church in Niobrara, Nebraska. Visitation will be prior to service starting at 1030 Pastor Martha Atkins will be officiating. Ashburn Funeral Home of Plainview
