Abba Skylift - Anyone used this?

Looks intriguing, but I think it's not convincing functionally.

The lack of a platform under the bike would make removing the front wheel with the bike up in the air really difficult: wrestling with tools, then having to catch the wheel/tire combo before they fall down to the floor. If the SkyLift only had the bike a few inches off the ground, the you'd be back to working at ankle level. Any job with the bike high enough so you're standing straight would be handicapped by being unable to put tools down, or rest your arm for leverage or balance.

Perhaps some jobs could be done easier, but I'd take a conventional lift, or find one that could be stored upright to conserve space.

I broke down and ordered the Abba Skylift today, should arrive in about a week. I'll post a review when I have a chance to play with it for awhile.

I got the lift today and posted an update in the Motorrad section, which may be moved to Gear at some point. So, if your interested, please take a look there.
