/6 Speedometer cable rubber boot

Is it easier to replace the boot right where it's at at the transmission end of things, or to snake it down from the speedo end? I haven't done this before and it's about time.

Its easy to do at the transmission end. The new one should be pretty pliable, especially if its at room temp instead of a cold garage.
