/6 Cable Routing Project

On my recently acquired /6, the cable routing in no way matches the pictures in the owners manual. In addition several of the cables seem to be binding a bit or move A LOT when one turns the bars.

In refering to Clymers, Chilton, Airheads, and here.....there is no definitive or in depth coverage of cable routing.

If possible, could you please send pics of your "orginal" routing. My project is going to be: using graphic software to highlight the several cable and wiring systems and seperate them into individual cables and how they route. These would then be displayed as individual cables from start to finish.

As I do not have an "orginal" example to obtain photos from I need your help. If you DO, would you please take the best pictures that you can for how YOURS are routed.

Perhaps, for instance, views that begin showing the throttle cables coming out of the grip to include the first half of the bar. Then another view of them going down to the steering head and instruments. Next, where they dissapear around the steering head. Then how they go down the frame tube and distribute to the carbs.

This should be of interest to most of the Airhead users because they are pretty much "common". Your help will be appreciated by a LOT of folks.

Thanks.............Dennis

Do it Dennis. I did it last year and unnecessarily sweated some bullets just thinking about it. Long overdue and would be of great relief to those taking on this very beneficial task for the first time. Sorry I'm digitally challenged and can't send photos.
