2014 BMW R1200GS - Odometer reads Km/h instead of MPH in Houston

Hello all,

Need some pointers on changing the ODOMETER read from km/h to MPH on 2014 BMW R1200GS.

Have tried the following with no results:

1. key switch off
2. disconnected negative battery terminal
3. key switch on with mode button pressed
4. connected negative battery terminal
5. mode did not cycle

Any thoughts or suggestions?

One would think there is a built-in option, but this older thread mentions the GS911 as a tool to do that.
