2012 RT and Sargent seat fitment

28024

Mr. Jim
Have any 2012 RT owners installed a Sargent 2 piece seat? I tried to put a Sargent low rider seat on my 2012 but the rear seat rubber bumpers won't slide into the 2 tier seat mount. The stock seat fits fine.

I had a similar situation with a standard height Sargent front seat on my 2011 RT, and although the rubber supports on the bottom of the seat were slightly off from the receiving slots on the frame, I found that by pushing forward a little on the rear of the Sargent seat pan I could get the two pieces to mesh as they should. If I recall, the receiving support sections on the frame can be repositioned a little, although I never did it. I ended up selling the Sargent, which was fine, and having the stock seat reupholstered with additional padding to add some height and width.
