I've got a 2020 S1000XR that left me stranded the other day. Once I got the bike jumped and running I see that it is not charging. Did the obvious of just confirming not a bad battery by replacing that and still no charge. I'm pretty familiar with the bad stator program having owned an F800 and just recently having split the engine and helped a friend replace the stator on her 1200GS.
My question is usually when you have a charging failure should you get the big red triangle of death on the TFT? I got no warnings what so ever other then trying to start the bike after my third stop of running errands the bike was down at 9v and then just fully dead.
Any input is appreciated. I'll be taking on metering out the voltage regulator and stator hopefully tonight to see where the failure lies.
Thanks!
