1998 R1100RT Brake Questions

Advice

Advice worth much more than 2 cents I am not planning any long trips I live in a rural area so can avoid traffic just want to test them out. First I am going to get rear brakes sorted out I think I will start installing the Spielberg brake Lines the rear looks easy. The 94 R1100RS has about 85,000 miles on it will check with some smarter than me to see if caliper rebuild or replacement is in order

Voni's '94 R1100RS purchased in May, 1993 now has 412,000 miles. The rotors have been replaced once. The floating rotor "buttons" a few times. The calipers are original and untouched except when flushing and bleeding the system. If your bike has had decent maintenance there is no need to question the calipers. If they leak they need attention. Otherwise, as long as the brakes are effective you don't need to do anything to/with the calipers.
