09 K1300GT Aux lighting Fender or Fork

A question about Clearwater Aux lighting.

Clearwater offers the option of Fender mounting or Fork mounting. I am adding the lights mostly to be more conspicuous so wondering what type of mounting is preferred?

The Fender seems like a more logical mounting location but looking for opinions or any photos of what others prefer. Pros and cons

Thanks

Finally checking this thread (Been riding every day) but no response. I am guessing not many using Aux lighting or not using Clearwater.

Is this considered the fender mount? Looks solid to me.

Does the fork mount use the caliper bolts?

I ended up using the Fender mount and very secure and can be mounted at just the right height. I am away from home so no pictures but I think the fender mount is easiest and look best.

The "triangle" is bigger the lower you go giving it a miniscule edge for conspicuity.

But for light down the road a higher mount is far superior.

I think you made the right choice for your intention.

I also understand Clearwater has stopped offering caliper mounts but have not confirmed. Though the chances of any problem from this in normal use is slim, I stay way from caliper mounts.
