Have used these folks, for many years.
They're not listing the pannier kits, anymore. Had some changes.., but when I contacted them and asked about a kit for the R1150RT.., they found some new old stock. Had purchased something from Ebay.., but not the same quality. Make sure and ask "Is this made from the 3M Scotchlite Series 680 material?" When buying your kits.

It blends really nicely with the black panniers. I think I need to get a set for my bike. The three red strips on the rear fender, is that the protective layer that hasn’t been removed yet or is the reflective vinyl actually red in color?

If anyone else is doing this with a fender that has similar "slots" (and edges), you can leave the covering vinyl whole (and oversized) and carefully run an x-acto or scalpel with a new blade along the edges to trim once applied.

Looks good but will it help keep a Tesla from running us down? Another one happened yesterday on a highway a quarter mile from my home.

That's why I want to be "Lit up".., like Willie on the 4th of July!
Thankfully I survived my ordeal, but I was rear ended while stopped at a traffic light. A non-licensed and uninsured driver nailed me on my bike while I was waiting for the light to change green. She sped off (hit and run), but fortunately the law caught up with her. They found her hiding in a back alley behind Target. The risk is very real.

Sorry to hear.., glad you're alright.. and they caught the 4 wheeler. It is our worst nightmare.., gettin' run-over, while stopped. Just yesterday, out country roadin', had a 4 wheeler pass a bicyclist.., on blind hill.., 2 seconds.., and we would've met head on. (I always assert right, on blind hill, but still..)

Whew! Too close for comfort! 4 wheelers have become overly impatient, aggressive in their driving behavior and they lack lane discipline. That’s why we have to ride so defensively and anticipate the worst.

That scenario you described is haunting. I’m sure you’ve played that over in your head many times. Glad you dodged that bullet.

Motorcycling for 50 years.., first time seeing someone, in my lane, on top a hill. Seen lots of crazy @^%$.., but not that. Let him know what I thought about him.., you might have heard it in the Woodlands.., almost herniated myself. Keep's ya on your toes.
