NavIV sun shade, some input please

I have a very similar shield on my Nav VI, also sourced from Amazon. I quite like it and find it does not interfere at all with the BMW mount. I’d expect you’ll find the same with the Nav IV shield.

Best,
DeVern

That looks like a fine solution. The depth is the key to being able to see the unit. A non-rigid alternative is the "Glarestomper." (See: https://www.glarestomper.com/320). I've used this model for 35,000 miles. It folds down over the screen if you remove it from the mount on the bike.

I use a similar shield on my Nav V and it definitely helps with glare. No problem with the BMW mount.

Another vote for the Glarestomper. Only issue I had with mine was when the weather was extremely hot, the glue holding the Velcro on, weakened and the Velcro came off. I replaced it with High Temp Velcro and all was well.

Judging from the photos of the one on Amazon, I think the Glarestomper has a longer top and sides, giving better coverage at various angles of the sun. The one on Amazon is rigid plastic. The Glarestomper is heavy duty nylon with a stiffener in the front edge of the shield so that you can bend it to provide shade when the sun is at angles where the standard placement does not work.

Easy Pass devices come with 3M Dual Lock and they never fall off of the inside of a hot windshield. Once I had to replace the Dual Lock with Velcro. The glue softened and it fell off on the first hot day. Dual Lock is worth a try.

Thanks, I may not need it for the sunshade I've got coming, but I've used velcro for securing other things. I just put a role of this in my cart. Thanks for the heads up.
