I've read all I can find on the forum re programming new keys and the process worked easily and simply enough on my 18 R1200RT - the new key arrived, followed instructions, and five minutes later the key worked fine.
No such luck witha new key for the new bike, a 2020 R1250R. The bike can be started easily enough with the emergency key by holding it in close proximity to the antenna (under & between the seats) but I'm having no luck whatever getting the new key to work.
The dealership is a miserable 3 1/2 hr I-10 trek away, which I'd like to avoid if at all possible.
Any help please would be much appreciated.
