Know where these pieces may have come from?

Still doing the spline lube on my 2000 R1100RS. Wondering if anyone knows which parts these may be.

The black one was on the ground after I had finished getting the muffler off. Close to the alternator which was unattached at this point.

The white piece came off when I was lifting the back end up. Seems like it came from somewhere around the airbox.

The piece on the right is likely item #2 on the starter cover

That was it. The other one was sitting on the cover. Thanks for the help (again).

If I could ask one more thing... When I was taking everything off to get to the transmission, a lot of the wire casings were completely brittle and falling apart. The main wire harness running up the left hand side of the airbox also had some exposed (enwrapped) wires. Should I be rewrapping these with electrical tape or should I just let them go?

Thanks again for all the help.

I have used vinyl electrical tape to re-wrap wiring harnesses, but if one needs to go back into the harness (e.g. run wires for aux lights) the unwrapped electrical tape tends to leave a very sticky mess. More recently I have begun using an non-adhesive tape to wrap wiring harnesses. To secure the end of the tape I use silicone self-fusing tape. The non-adhesive tape I have used includes both vinyl and cloth. I actually like the cloth tape better. Links for examples of each are given below -

I don't think that white piece is an actual bike part. It looks like a protective cap that got dropped into the bike and then it rolled around for a few years. Does it say FTE? That would make it a brake line cap or something like that.

You guys are good on this forum. The white piece says FTE on the bottom and the number 12 at the top. So, nothing to worry about?
