We have a72 /5 with bad handlebar switches (both sides) looking to purchase or repair both switches. I think I’ve tried every outlet in the states. Help.

Are you talking about parts 61 31 1 351 219 and -220? Benchmark Works has them listed on their website...I don't know about availability.
There are some used part places shown in that section in the link in my signature line. Internally they aren't that complicated, although they could be quite fiddley to work on. I believe the suggestion is to work inside a large plastic bag so that the small bits don't jump for freedom.

I have 2 problems. The left switch is worn out and the right switch has the wires soldiered to the terminals
