The Hwy 16 bridge in downtown Llano has water running as high under in it than I recall and Kingsland where this bridge went out is downstream. The Llano meets the Colorado here, so all this headed toward Lake Travis toward Austin. Gate operations on most of the Highland Lakes Chain by the LCRA.
The upper stretch of LLano off IH-10 in Junction flooded about a week before catching a lot of unsuspecting campers as well as locals with the flash flood. River crested 10' less at Llano that time. So,the ground was pretty wet when this rain train happened between Kerrville and Mason counties yesterday, the 15th.
