Careful with that free neck tube

Don't know the circumstances of these reported incidents but I know there have been some incidents of robberies here in Dallas-Fort Worth with bandits having full face helmets on. I usually pull my helmet off whenever I go to an establishment where the clerks don't know me.

Before entering a convenience store
I pull down my neck tube if it's pulled up to my nose.
If I have on a balaclava, I pull it under my chin or remove it.
On my modular helmet, I flip it up.

This summer on the UP of Michigan there was a sign at the gas station to remove full face helmets before entering the store.

It is not too much trouble to take your helmet off when going in a store. If you are worried about someone stealing it off of your bike just carry it with you. If you are ashamed of your hair just put on a ball cap.
