06 r1200 rt Rear brake reservoir hose

Just a heads up. Replaced the pads on my RT and noticed that brakes felt odd. At. Dragging the rear brake did not feel like I was getting an even brake.

Went through the obvious thoughts.
1) Pads were in wrong -you dummy you could get yourself killed -checked they were good.
2) brake fluid is low - that may be it - got to bleed the system- pain in the butt however better Than the abs failing - fluid level is good... Oh crap
2) ABS pump is going - read about this possibility - the wife is going to divorce me if I have to layout that kind of money

So good news . While checking the fluid once again I notice the hose under the rear brake reservoir is kinked.

Here is the tip:

WHEN YOU TIGHTEN THE REAR BRAKE FLUID CAP THE RESERVOIR WILL SPIN IN THE HOLDER. IT WILL NOT SPIN THE OTHER WAY . OVER TIME THOSE LITTLE SPINS WILL TWIST THE BRAKE FEEDER HOSE AND LIMIT THE REAR BRAKING.

Take a needle nose plier and release the tension of the clip from the reservoir it spins back, check for holes and leaks.

Ride on safely

This is only felt when using the rear brake peddle. Did not notice it when utilizing the linked brakes.

Just wanted to share my lousy Saturday. Riding today

Same thing happened to me. I could not push the pistons back completely because the tube was too twisted.
