Does a R100R Use the Same Seat as a R80/R100GS?

If you go to the RealOEM or MaxBMW websites parts section they both have a search feature. Enter in the part number you have for either seat and it will tell you every other place that part is used.

The R100R used low versions of some of the same basic seat types that the GS used, and they are interchangeable. The GS line offered low versions as options, but if they were marked "GS" as some were, of course the part numbers would still be different than what was used on the R100R. There are a lot of different part numbers because of the different covers, and the styles changed between '88~'90 and '91-on. The fiche won't tell you very much about this.

OK i just tried this and the GS seat number only lists it as fitting other GS's and GSPD. The R100R seat number only shows it fitting R100R.

Thanks Anton, for $170 I'm going to order the kit for my R100R. I'll report back here how it works out.
