Strange proposed law. In Holland we have the opposite. They made some rules for bikers passing the traffic jam. It's still dangerous (obviously) but if you keep your speed in hand, it's ok to do it.

On the other hand, I've seen how the bikes in France (especially Paris) negociate traffic and it's a madhouse. It's not just traffic jams they pass, but when I'm doing 100kmh in my car on the peripherique (Paris bypass) I'm being passed by bikes left and richt, in between lanes. That's not very safe to put it mildly. So the protesters should at least claim responsebility for their own behaviour because I can see a lot of accident happen because of that. And lots of people ride scooters without real protective clothing. Also a lot of the guys on racing bikes just wear jeans, sneakers and a leather jacket. Looks cool...but not very safe.

..is, of course, what dancers say to each other like "break a leg" for actors. We leave for Paris tomorrow and hope to at least high-five some of the Parisian riders...if not a warm slap on the bottom!

I am certain there are places in Milwaukee where one could be paralyzed by one biker.
