My plan was to attend the National. Was getting my R100R ready. Converted it to solo seat and fender rack to haul my camping gear. Was waiting for the call from my friend/tech to bring the bike over some service at his shop. Fork rebuild, series 2 service, removal of the engine fumes air pump, anything else it needed. Took quite a bit of service parts over in preparation of the work.
In a another life, I was a auto/motorcycle head specialist. Got a lot of BMW Airhead heads shipped to me to rework and service. Almost all of them had burned up exhaust valves due to the feature. In fact I’ll go out and remove the top of the air box for an inspection. Time to check the air cleaner anyway.
Filter didn’t look bad. Lightly banged it on the fence post. Reinstalled it. It’ll get a new one during the tune up. The air pulse will all be removed during the service. I don’t need it.

Recently riding local is my riding option. Had plans for longer rides, but. Gotta get my bikes in better shape. My R100R needs a major tune-up. Still been riding it local. The solo seat has a great cool look factor, but. It got hard after a day of riding. I gotta Bun-Ez gel pad I used to use on my long runs, gotta find it. Maybe time for a Russell Daylong seat. The ‘75 R90 is another story. Probably rode my ‘74 R90 over 200,000 miles, but. That was totally different time. Youth does have some advantages. Yea, lots of buts.
Talking to the guy about his chick magnet, I pointed out my Beemer with the red seat. Matched his red steering wheel and roll bar. He looked over, saw it, nodded, went back listening to the band. OK, not a chick magnet.
It's also a Dude Magnet. Anything to attract Chicks. Old school American Speak. Yea, I've been around for awhile. Down at my local biker bar. One of the young Chicks calls me Old Biker Dude and another calls me Grandpa. Hey, I'm 681/2 years Young and I ain't got no grand children rug rats. U Chicks n
