R90/6 Headlight Switch

Hi, my newly acquired 75 R90 has a non working headlight. A get a highbeam on the flash/pass button but that's it, besides the parking light. A BMWMOA send me two used switches , I install on today but getting the same result and no horn.

The good news is I got the clock and voltmeter hooked up and working...

So two switches, both bad, is there something on the circuit board I should be chasing?

Cheers

What about your headlight relay? Seems to me that when this sort of thing happens, the relay is the problem.

Switch Tested OK

I did test the switch with my meter, it was good. How do I test the relay?

Relay was stuck?

I dismounted the headlight relay and removed the hot lead(red) to make sure it was powered, It was when I plugged in back in, viola, the headlights work on both hi and low beams...maybe the relay was stuck. Now IÔÇÖm chasing the horn problem, I tested the horn switch before I installed it and it was working, I notice in the schematics that there a different colored wires for the horn...this is getting to be fun.

Cheers
Tim
