Engine warning light

Hello all! New to forum so be gentle. I have a 2004 R1100S and the engine warning light started coming on and going off. Would not stay on all the time, but would blink intermittently. I replaced the oil pressure switch, changed the oil and filter but oil warning light still flickers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 
Check the wiring to make sure it isn't shorting somewhere. Make sure the oil level on the sight glass drops when you start the engine. Test oil pressure with an actual gauge. I'm guessing a dealer might have the proper tools to do the latter.

Other ideas will follow.

Which warning light is it?

Oil?
Battery?
 
Assuming it's the Oil light as you already replaced the switch.

When does it come on? At Idle only? Flicker that disappears when you increase the rpm?
Engine cold or hot?

What weight of oil are you using?
