In the December Owners News, in the Board meeting report, the dates were listed as July 14-17, but no location.

Chattanooga, Ted. Look deep into my eyes... Your getting very very sleepy... You want to hold the 2016 rally in Chattanooooooogggaaa. Chatanoooooooggggaa..... I know you already are in contracts with some one (which could be Chattanooga but visiian said it never works so it probably isn'ttttttt) but you don't want themmmm you want to see rock cityyyyy.
When I snap my fingers you will feel refreshed and awake, you will start negotiations with the lovely city of chatanooooggggaaaaa.

Flew into Mekeler Sikes back in the early 90's in a cobra; contract gas. We got a ride to a place called Casey Jones barbecue, it was excellent.

I don't think Johnson City would met the revised and "improved" requirements for a rally site. The revisions eliminates a lot of potential locations since we now must appeal to the more "refined" and comfort oriented members. I would love Chattanooga (my children say it is wonderful and tourist oriented) but Vermont is to far away for me and there is really bad traffic between me and there.

And knocking folks for not wanting to tent it...really

Vermont is as far East as Oregon was West ...not everyone can go to either , but why should it be eliminated?

Rally zones are not done by time zones. According to the 2013 rally zone map all of Tennessee is not in the eastern zone.

Both Johnson City and Chattanooga are in the Eastern Time Zone but about 3/4 of (western part) Tennessee is in the Central time Zone.

Rally zones and time zones are NOT equal. Chattanooga and Johnson City are indeed indeed in the Eastern Time Zone but they are NOT in the BMW MOA Eastern rally zone.
There lies my confusion...thanks.

Chattanooga/Cherokee is tourist oriented, just like Mt. Rushmore or the western entrance/gate to Yellowstone. In other words, a rather plastic tourist trap with casinos.
Besides, if you thought Bloomsburg was hot......just wait for the same weather conditions to occur further south.
I would suggest the Lake Placid, NY area.
