Fairing Mounting

I'm about to enter Fairing Land again and put a Rabid Transit on my R100CS
In the old days I had Hannigans on a R100/7 and a Suzuki GS1100-a teriffic bike. I used to isolate them with rubber grommets but I don't have an aerospace surplus store close by like I did in LA. So thought I'd try Neoprene washers. Anybody done this?
BTW, I have 2 Rabid Transits and one will be sold when I'm through.

The Rabid Transit came with foam tape to go on the frame mount before you mount the fairing to it. Overtime this has compressed and I replace mine with a rubber strip.

It seem like it was 1/8 inch one inch wide foam weather stripping. I replaced it with 1/8 baffle material I use on aircraft engine baffles.
