R1300RT Motorrad Announcement

Yikes, somehow they outdid themselves by making the 1300 GSA the second ugliest bike in their lineup, and that took some effort, lol!!!!!!!

They seemed to keep the same boxy scheme as the GSA. I think the previous version was a better looking design. No TFT change, or Carplay/AA. Get your 24's while they last.

Many years ago the VP in charge of Motorrad USA once described us as "Old men sleeping in the mud."
I've read that a bunch of times and can't find the untrue part. :ha

It was kind of my motivation for helping get the weekend getaways off the ground. Not everyone wants to keep sleeping in the mud parked next to the premium motorcycle.

Fully loaded, $38,000. You can save $1000 by shifting yourself and even more by not choosing the 719 but a fully loaded GSA is $32,500 so that's a lot more money for an RT which albeit does include luggage where the GSA will not have luggage at that price.

I have to agree. I love what they did to the RT's front end up to the 2024 model year, which made me buy a new one last May.

My God, they've certainly regressed.........at least in style. Just my humble opinion of course.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They say you can please some of the people all of the time or all of the people some of the time. In any case, there are those out there that think the bike looks good (I'm one of them). If you think otherwise, that's OK. I'm not here to try and change anyone's opinion.

Well don't get the design of the new RT. First of all color selection, which has not changed in the last few years is lousy. Motorrad should look at their BMW auto side to see what colors sell. The new design has actually cheapened the look. I am sure functioning and performance might be great but at the sacrifice of aesthetics. The bike's cost and look will, in my opinion, affect sale of bike. Very frustrating after waiting for so long for this model. Instead of evolving the previous design history of the RT they opted for a new clumsy look. Maybe suits figured out a way to make more profit for each unit and that resulted in current mistaken approach. Will be interested to see if new RT sales rise or plummet. So sad!!
