New to me 94 K1100RS

not new to BMW , but new to oilheads. My current other bike is a 94 K75S, which has some similarities, but ... I know it's an R, not a K, just so used to typing K. 74,000 miles, .

Just bought this 04 R1150GSA 2 months ago. 63k miles. My first BMW. Rebuilt FD. Runs awesome. Wilbers suspension front and rear. Looking forward to many years with it.

8.7 gallons + 1 gallon + 1 gallon. At 45 MPG you won't make it 500 miles. Better add an auxiliary tank

Yup....the manatee size tank wasn’t enough for the PO.

Takes some time to get used to the boxer if you're coming from an inline but once you do you'll like the high torque it provides at just about any range. The only thing I missed for a while was the quick acceleration but we just switched to a more relaxing touring and cruising style. One thing I recommend is to get the RT front fender, it fits right on and gives a much better protection for your motor. Congrats on your new R!
