Towing with rear wheel on ground

I would like to use a motorcycle hitch that elevates the front wheel with the rear on the ground. My question is what will be turning in the gear box with the tran in neutral? Looking at auto tran cutaways it is clear that in most trans the oil level is high enough to touch the mainshaft. With the tran in neutral the layshaft is not turning. So the splash lubrication should be no different that running on the road. Ditto with the differential. Is there any design peculiarity with the BMW that would not allow splash lube while towing?
