Reset Average Fuel Mileage?

The bike is a 2018 R1200RT with all the bells and such. Garmin Nav 6. I can't get the average fuel mileage indicator on the appropriate screen to reset. I've turned on fuel management on the Garmin. Instantaneous fuel mileage words, as does miles remaining. The average fuel mileage has read 48.0 mpg for the last 350 miles, even with repeated reset tries. I know this average is too large for my bike. Help me, please.

How are you resetting that item? I routinely reset average fuel consumption in addition to average speed and the trip odometer after each fill-up and usually compare what the system calculated fuel economy to the actual value (system is usually slightly optimistic just as it is on both of our cars). All values seem to reset and operate just fine on my 2016 RT.

I reset my gas mileage and trip meters on my Nav V. This will reset the values on the dash.
On the My Motorcycle screen tap on the wrench at the upper left of the screen.
This will let you reset average gas mileage, trip meters and average speed.

Finally Figured It Out

Seems I have to reset average mileage on the bike info screen, not the Nav VI. Thanks for the replies.
