It had to happen one day I guess, I had my first motorcycle screw up in 4 years yesterday, while riding trail. I was going too fast and the rear wheel slipped up and, lost control and hit a tree. the upper front fender, being hard plastic, instantaneously broke up in 4 big pieces (and maybe 4 more small ones). I was lucky enough that it was pretty much the only thing that broke and it taught me a good lesson. Wasnt that fast so frame, fork are good. So now I have 3 options:
1) try to glue, sand and repaint the fender.
2)Try to find a used one, repaint it yellow if necessary.
3) buy a new OEM one.
I can get an OEM one brand new for 340$CAN, plus the cost of getting it painted, probably 400$CAN, which is pretty much the most expensive, yet easiest option. Getting a used one would be significantly cheaper, only problem is: I cannot find a single one online, nor on facebook, nor on any site whatsoever. What do you thing i should do? Anybody know a guy willing to sell one on this forum? i dont want to buy a new one strait away, only to find a used one at half the price later. Any advice is appreciated!
