New Seat?

Okay, My weight is about the same + or - 10lbs since I purchased Miss Behavin' I have ridden bicycles for years so I tried those tight biking shorts under my riding jeans (ICON) which fit very loose. I had limited success with that combo. This is why I am concerned. 3 years ago I rode from Taos N.M to Ft. Worth TX in 15 hours without any issues. Last year my ride to Colorado I experienced some discomfort. My longest on the RT was about 12 hours. This year I rode from Chattanooga TN. to Shreveport LA in 16 hours and I was real sore. It seems to me the discomfort is increasing for me each year. That is why I wondered about the foam breakdown in my seat. The local BMW shop said that the foam doesn't break down but I have a skeptical side. So I am faced with the decision on how much I am willing to spend verses how much discomfort I am willing to put up with. I realize that riding for a lot of hours at a time might be uncomfortable no matter what seat I have. It is a hard hurdle for me to get over buying an accessory that is about 10 percent the cost of the total bike.

Rick Mayer

I shipped my stock seat to Rick Mayer today I hope my new seat it will be comfortable and durable :nono after all the comments on this threat I am a little insecure.

you WILL be happy with Rick's work for you. be sure to follow up with him- things (saddles, orders, emails) seem to have a habit of getting "temporarily misplaced". however- his product is outstanding, as are his ethics.

freedom air

Try a freedom air seat pad. It has two chambers that you inflate like an air mattress. It is made by a company that makes medical products for beds and chairs etc.Very high quality and great customer service.:thumb

Rick Mayer delivery

I just got my first ever custom new seat from Rick Mayer today!
Looks pretty comfortable to me, too bad is raining here in NYC.
Time will tell me more about durability.
