Hi All,
Just joined BMW MOA after 15 years of owning my 1996 R1100R.
I'm currently close to pulling the trigger on a 2011 or 2012 R1200RT. I started out looking at the K1300S and even the S1000RR but 10 minutes in the saddle of each convinced me left my hands and wrist sore.... I was completely bummed as I had instantly fallen in love with the engine, acceleration, and handling of both. From what I'm reading on the boards it seems the hand and wrist discomfort is not something that will disappear with time as I get used to the bike... If anyone can tell me different it would be appreciated as I can't seem to get either K engined bike out of my head....
As far as the RT goes, well it was just so confidence inspiring and comfortable as soon as I got on I did not want to bring it back....
Now to justify the cost for one of these new machines....
I'm looking forward to learning more about and doing more with the BMW MOA.
Dan
