Welcome to the MOA & the Forum, Señor Grant!

Hope you’re going to enjoy your splendid New Touring machine out the on there edge of the Valley of the Sun! Those RTs are designed for long-distance riding in relative comfort. That said, not knowing about your history or intent, it’s only 36 hours of LDR travel to this year’s MOA 50th Anniversary Rally in Doswell, VA! :whistle We’re much closer this year living in the Tenn River valley; for U however, it’s 2,372 miles on the fastest route! :brow

U might consider these guys, if nobody steps up in the Cave Creek area...

We’re enjoying a long-weekend on the road from HSV, AL to NSB, FL. We saw lots of helmetless Harley riders all over the highways & byways around the Daytona area -- quite a bunch Not in trucks or trailers - today! :blah Yesterday, Maybe.

Good Luck finding some riders to suit your situation.
Happy Trails whenever U can - Ciao from 2 ASU grads!

Welcome

Hi Grant,
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the bike! I just joined the club as well and I am local in AZ (Peoria/Glendale) and a new BMW owner. I don't think the AZbeemer club is active as I didn't see any recent activities. I'd love to connect with other BMW riders in the northern Phoenix area.

Welcome from Peoria, AZ.

I ride a 2022 RT and love this bike! I rode to the MOA Rally in Springfield, MO last year and had a great time.

I can't make the Rally in VA this year, but I'm waiting for the 2024 annoucement as the Rally returns to the western US next year.

On Sundays, many BMW and othe European motorcycle riders can be found enjoying breakfast in Cave Creek at the Grotto at the Red Truck:

Hope to see you there!

What time is breakfast there on Sundays. I may ride out [ it's only 50 miles ] to meet and have breakfast one of these Sundays/

In summertime, folks arrive around 6:30am as the restaurant opens at 6:00am.

In wintertime and spring, it's typically around 8:30am or so.

Nice, casual restaurant, with beautiful cactus garden patio.

I plan on riding there next Sunday for breakfast.

Hope to see you there.

Welcome Grant,

I'm in Anthem, I'm retired and like to ride on weekdays. Let me know what days you like to ride. I am going out to Barrett lake tomorrow or Tuesday, let me know if you want to go.

Hi Bernd, AZBeemer's is an active club, lots of guys who like to ride. Typical of most clubs is that everyone wants someone else to post the ride. If you should chose to post a ride you will get someone to join you. There is a ride on Wednesday to Winslow if you want to meet some guys. A reminder, AZBeemers is only on Facebook now, the website is dormant.

No event to winslow this wed. on their FB page yet. :dunno

I just got the notice from Joe's post about the ride, thanks. They should be posting rides in the upcoming events page however. Joe's a little remiss in this regard.

Also, if Joe's on the ride, expect to be hauling butt all the time [ like 20 over or more ]. ;)

Thats just semantics. To me an event is something big, a ride is just a ride.

Yes, Joe likes to ride fast but everyone is welcome and encouraged to ride at their own pace and Joe is very good at waiting at any turns for everyone in the group.
