Hello everyone, I finally picked up my first BMW bike last week. It's a 1985 K100RT with 75,000 miles on it. It had sat for 3 years so I got it for a pretty good price since I couldn't hear it run or test out the clutch and transmission. Last night I got it running but it was pretty rough. Today I replaced the plugs, cleaned the injectors and discovered that the fuel line to the fuel filter was absolute toast. So I replaced the line and filter and she's running much better. Still sputters on rapid throttle inputs so I've got some more sorting out to do but I think she's going to turn out just fine and be a pleasure to ride this coming year. Looking forward to learning more about these old "Flying Bricks" on here.
