NAV 5 and 6 connection problems with WIN 10 computers

I had a issue updating my Nav 5 recently. The computer would detect it, but it would not do any updates. It would just spin, then go back to ready. This is what I found on the K1600 forum. Probably most of you know this by now. Here is the fix.

I found a solution online. It worked:
1. Start device by itself and go to Volume Screen.
2. Press the upper right hand corner of screen for 10 seconds.
3. The Developers Screen will pop up
(may see Configuration and Settings, if so select it)
4. Scroll down to MTP SETTINGS
5. Change from AUTO DETECT to MASS STORAGE
6. Shut down the device and connect to PC
7. It should now connect in mass storage mode.

Apparently, there is a conflict with the FAT in Garmin and Win10.

It is working now and updating.

Waiting for the snow to melt up here in WNY.

Greg
