Still Wondering
Okay Morning Readers (even you in the back with your lips moving as youÔÇÖre reading this) here is a chance to move to other side of screen and become a content provider while having fun at the Rally.

Fuel costs to affect summer entertainment
ÔÇ£Even ice cream trucks are feeling the heat of rising fuel costs. James Conway, vice president of Mister Softee, said prices are going up for some of the products his trucks deliver.

The gas-powered ice cream trucks use diesel fuel to run their refrigerators, "a double whammy," Conway said.ÔÇØ

Wonderings:

I learned many things when I went to the big city to visit the BMW dealership Tuesday.

The first was a long slap in the face when I realized that my trip would be measured in hours not minutes. My Lilydale location offered me for dealers in the state and two within a ten to fifteen minute drive. Yesterday one way was close to an hour and a half.

Returning to the garage I was reminded to use lists and to make a reminder to take the list the first thing on the list. I had picked up the major things at the dealer it was the small bits I had forgotten to purchase that were causing problems now.

In the past lapses of memory were excuses to go for another ride or at worst an inconvenience. Now the lapse requires a budgeting session to allocate gas funds for the extra trip in addition to the trip itself.

I am getting soft.

I have lived 100 miles from the closest dealer in the past. Dealer trips were an adventure I actually looked forward to. But that was years ago, when gas was less than a buck fifty and I was making as much or more as I am now.

I am a strong payer of lip service to the idea of supporting your local dealer, even if local is measured in 100+ mile increments. If you donÔÇÖt you wonÔÇÖt have a local dealer and the trip will be longer. As I said I am getting soft. I donÔÇÖt know how long the lip service will hold out against the practical realities of the trip and the strain of the budget sessions they also require. Amazing what you can do with the internet and FED-UPS. I can quickly rationalize the shipping expense with the savings in gas.

Ah the joys of relocating.

And it is kind to the environment: T3s are quiet, have an integrated LED lighting system and run for less than 10 cents per day. It runs on a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet that can be charged in three to four hours.

10 Cents per day?
