HUSQVARNA STARTS 2008 ITALIAN SUPERMOTO CHAMPIONSHIP ON PODIUM
Great result for Husqvarna CH Racing Team at its debut in the 2008 Italian Supermoto Championship. Gerald Delepine, Adrien and Thomas Chareyre not only had the chance to meet for the first time this year their World Championship?óÔé¼Ôäós rivals, but showed they are in a perfect shape and ready to battle. In S2 class, world champions Adrien Chareyre and Gerald Delepine leaded the lines. Adrien was 1st overall while Belgian rider Delepine got the second place ahead of his teammate. Younger Chareyre Thomas, this year Husqvarna sole S1 class rider, excited the audience with two fast start and the beginning of both races. While in the first heat ?óÔé¼?ôLe Tom?óÔé¼?Ø was first, in the second arrived 3rd which made him get the second final place. Next round of Italian Supermoto Championship will be on April 20th in Latina (Rome), but the Husky riders will be engaged one week end before for the first Supermoto World Championship GP in Torino.
BITTER PORTUGAL FOR CH RACING HUSQVARNA TEAM
While half of CH Racing team was racing in Italy for the Supermoto, the other half was in Portugal for the second WEC GP held in Vale de Cambra. Rain and mud inflicted on the tracks conditions which caused to the 50% of the enrolled riders bikes damages and injuries. Among them also Husqvarna riders Antoine Meo had to withdraw for a technical problem, while Bartosz Oblucki, injured in Sweden, couldn?óÔé¼Ôäót continue the race because of the pain to his hand. French riders Guillaume and Bourgeois managed to finish both races. Seb was 6th and 8th, while young Marc shined also on the Portuguese tracks and was first on Saturday and second on Sunday, results that confirmed his provisional first place in the EJ class classification.
HUSQVARNA LEADS FRENCH MOTOCROSS
Allier and Martin are still impressing the French MX audience. At the third race held in Pernes Les Fontaines the two young SIMA Team riders confirmed their skills. Thomas Allier finished the two races on 5th place, while Christophe was 3rd and 4th. In the superfinal race Martin was still on 4th place, behind his teammate Thomas who got the 3rd position. Allier is still leader in the French Championship with 5 points from Cyrille Coulon.

ABS AVAILABLE ON 2008 BMW HP2 MEGAMOTO
04/02/2008
Latest in Technology and Performance Now Offered on HP2 Line
Woodcliff Lake, NJ - April 2, 2008...Motorcycle enthusiasts who appreciate the very latest in performance and technology can now find it on the new BMW HP2 Megamoto, now available at BMW Motorrad retailers. The ABS system is available as a factory-installed option through U.S. BMW Motorrad retailers at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,000.00; and, like the HP2 Sport, the system can be completely turned off.
The street version of the mighty HP2 Enduro, the Megamoto is armed with tons of power in the form of a 113 hp Boxer motor that spits out 85 lb/ft of torque. Every extra detail has been stripped away to create a supermoto machine offering thrilling, out-of-this-world excitement in every gear. With a dry weight of just 393 lbs, low center of gravity, inverted Marzocchi forks, Ohlins rear shock, and plenty of wheel travel in both front and rear suspensions, the HP2 Megamoto delivers sharp, supremely responsive handling. An Akrpovic exhaust adds efficiency, while Brembo brakes assure maximum stopping power. Motorcycle enthusiasts also appreciate that a tachometer and a new headlight, as well as the significantly lower seat, give the Megamoto an even higher standard of everyday riding qualities.
The BMW HP2 Megamoto has a manufacturerÔÇÖs suggested retail price of $20,520 (excluding destination charge).
