I see we have a new member in the back of the room. Would you mind standing up, introducing yourself and telling us a bit about yourself?

My name iserrmy name is Mika, and I have Chicken Strips.

The moderator prods againTell us a bit about yourself, Mika.
WelluhI have been riding for around forty years now. When I first started riding I had chicken stripsI guess you call them CS hereI had CS while I was learning but it went away.
I mean my first Brit bikes and even my first Jap bike, a Kawasaki 350, you needed to push them to go fast in the turns so you learned to scrape pegs and the CS disappeared.
I donÔÇÖt know, maybe they started to show up with my first 750 Honda. I mean you couldnÔÇÖt see them but I know I didnÔÇÖt need to scrape pegs as often to keep up with the rest of the riders or even ahead for that matter. Then I found myself putting new tires on, filling a duffel bag with gear, strapping it the back of the bike and heading to the coast for the first time. When I came back I had a case of CS.
Before I put a new set of tires on I went out and road healed over every chance I could get so that my friends wouldnÔÇÖt see them. When we had a tire changing weekend they saw a bit of cord in the center of the rear tire. They didnÔÇÖt say anything but I knew they knew I had CS.
I was married and I found myself riding alone more or two up. I  I even took my rearsets off and put stock pegs back on. I told myself it was because I was a family man, but when I bought my current Roadster I bought a peg lowering kit and forward foot rests for travel.
Mika breaks down for a minute, then the moderator speaks.
ItÔÇÖs okay, catch your breath and go ahead if you want. We all have been there.
Gathering himself, Mika continues
This summer I worked on it, hard. I took the lowering kit off many weekends and went riding on WisconsinÔÇÖs Rustic Roads and double letter county roads trying to loose the CS. I thought I was doing fine.
I put the bike in my friends garage last week when I heard it was going to snow over the weekend. I have some work I want to do to the Roadster. Thats
Thats when I saw them
I still have tire mold spikes on the rear tire.
Mika begins to break down again
II pulled out my pocket knife andand I trimmed them off so no one would see them.
Mika struggles to catch his breathe as the murmur in the room returns
