'Juice Jacking': The Dangers of Public USB Charging Stations

By now, I would hope everyone is aware of the potential problems associated with using Public WIFI. It's offered as a convenience but can be iffy.

News today is about the USB public charging stations being able to load malware through the charging cable. As many realize, this cable really caries more than the power to charge a device. Think about how pictures are transferred from device to device.

From the FCC-

If your battery is running low, be aware that juicing up your electronic device at free USB port charging stations, such as those found near airport gates, in hotels and other travel-friendly locations, could have unfortunate consequences. You could become a victim of "juice jacking," a new cyber-theft tactic.

Be careful and bring your own charger! :wave
