I need your help-would you help me if you could? The Big Haiku Contest!

I need your help. I want to win a contest and I need your vote as I am a
finalist.
What's in it for you? If I win I will buy you the beer or Wisconsin custard of
your choice! The above incentive may come in handy on your way to the rally in July heat!

The Establishment Salon in Milwaukee, WI (Shorewood actually) is running a Haiku contest.
Haiku is Japanese in origin and the requirement is 5 syllables in the first
line, seven in the second, followed by five in the third (last) line. (I think Rebecca Vaughn started a thread on Haiku about 2 years ago.)

Disclaimer: Obviously this is a promo for the Establishment. Prizes are being
awarded to the winners.

It looks like my competition is a very young person who is electronically
sophisticated and is blasting for vote requests. I think my work is better than
his, and I want to demonstrate that old (older)age and treachery will overcome
youth and exuberance.

I am #10.

I love contests like this. Some day I will share with you how I (a white guy)
won second place in a BBQ rib contest against 9 other teams all of whom were
African-American including the factory team from Open Pit BBQ Sauce. I like the
competition when the odds are stacked against me.

Please forward this email to your friends, relatives, business associates,
neighbors, golfing friends, bowling buddies, biking bud's, knitting nichers, dog
owners, cat lovers, bird flyers, members in your support group, other shootists,
pool hustlers, pool swimmers, fellow yachtsmen (yachtpeople?), rider's group,
writer's group, you get the idea.

Thank you in advance for your help,
Howard

C'mon Dan Cogan!

Thank you!

I am in 4th place as of a few minutes ago.

If I could get 100 out of the 40,000 MOA members to vote, I think I could blow the competition out.

Instead of beer or WI custard, perhaps I should offer a new FD bearing....:hide

2 down, 98 to go!

Go DAn! Go Wezul! get the word out!

Thank you to all thus far!

Industrial strength hugs for the women...
(gentle on the ribs, though)

beer for the men...

"Brazilians" for everyone!:brow

Pickin' up steam...

8 members BMWMOA members have voted,
39, 992 to go.

Has anyone seen or heard from Rebecca Vaughn? She is the one who got me initially interested in Haiku.

I'd like to help, BUT!

There is no way I could possibly vote for that atrocious Haiku and sleep at night.
Sorry buddy!:brow
