Getting tires changed at the rally

I'm going to my first national rally this June, just wondering did MOA have some tire installer companies at any of the last rallys? And IF there were, are their prices reasonable, or, since they have a huge captive clientele, would they charge a hefty premium? I have enough rubber to get there, not sure about getting home.

I am not sure who/which will be there this year. But I can mention years past. Many years there were more than one vendor representing major brands; ie Metzeler, Michelin, Dunlop, etc. At least one year there was only one such vendor.

Prices have always been reasonable; usually a bit lower than you would find in most tire dealerships. Maybe a bit more that the lowest mail order prices.

The big kicker is that they are usually VERY busy. Get in line early and expect you might leave the bike (or wheel) all day. Selection is usually pretty good for that brands best sellers but if you have a bike that takes an odd size (think R1100RS 18" rear wheel, or K75) get their first or they may not have the tire size.

That's good to know, I think my tire sizes are quite common, ie. 120/70/17 and 180/55/17.

I forgot to add in my earlier post that one or more years No Mar was there, showing off their equipment and installing tires for the masses. They had quite a variety of tires.

Tire changing opportunities for the 2024 rally will be updated prior to the rally next year.
