Food for Thought?

I don't think it is borderline snarky. I think it's completely snarky.

I'd only bring it up in a face to face situation where one could read tone and visual cues so one would not be taken literally. Never in a situation lacking those cues.....like an online forum....:blush

I must be interpreting this paragraph a bit differently than others.

To me, this is borderline snarky, calling out helmet laws (or the lack thereof) and a thinly-veiled disdain for motorcyclists; our only redeeming quality being a source of harvestable organs.

I'm an organ donor too, so are most of the regular automobile drivers I know.

I wouldn't think the author was saying our ONLY redeeming quality, but it is a redeeming quality in reality when 14% of all motor vehicle deaths in the US involve a motor rider. 42,795 deaths on the roads in the US in 2022. That would suggest 5991 motor riders died that year on the road [ or roughly 115 motor rider deaths per week. 16 motor rider deaths a day that year.

We certainly make up a fair percentage of potential organ donors, and I don't see that rises to the level of us motor riders dying being the only redeeming quality. The author is certainly entitled to his opinion, whether it's expressed in a subjective or objective manner
