C3 Pro Helmet Rant.....

Dear Abby,

I 've had my C3 pro for about 3 years and can no longer stand the shield slamming shut at moderate speed.

I have tried the o-ring trick - does not work well and fixing my $600 helmet with plumbing parts doesn't seem right. It also makes the shield leak in the rain.

I like everything else about this helmet, but am ready to move on to another brand, or even go back to a non- modular helmet

Have I been isolated at home too long?

Thank you for listening, LOL

Signed,
BluegrassPicker

Partly, yes you have been isolated too long. But ... C3s do seem to have that issue. At least mine did, but it did not seem to bother me as much as it does you. I learned to live with it. Another but ... I did not buy a second C3, I now wear an Arai full-face. I don't even miss the flip up feature.

Schuberth made a fix for the visor issue. They were installing it at their booth at the Billings rally. Perhaps a call to their customer service would get you the fix. I have a C3 Pro and the o’ring fix works well. Maybe a different size o’ring.

Never had a C3 but had one helmet that did that and didn't mind.
I can't count the number of times when leaving a town and reaching up to close my shield a bee or nasty bug flies in before I get it shut.
The slamming shut is a anti bee feature :)
