Attached is the POI file listing BMW dealers, for use in BMW Navigator V & VI. The latest file BMW has available on their website is the 2020 file, version “K”. This “M” file was obtained from a “new version” Navigator VI, with capacitative screen, that was delivered to a user over on another forum. The file is in a zip package and must be unzipped before using.
Since the available file on BMW’s website hasn’t been updated for some time, and BMW has moved to another platform for their branded navigation devices, I’m wondering if this file will be updated on the website in the future. It may be that the new devices and apps can be updated by other means, like automatic updates via the Apple or Google app stores. At any rate, the file below will work in existing Nav units and installation is simple: Connect the Nav to a PC, navigate to the POI folder, back up the existing file which will have the same name save for the letter at the end, then delete that file and copy the new one in its place.
