Ascent of Loveland Pass, Colorado - Vid/Images

Randy,

Have a vid of most roads/passes in the state. Here's an ascent up the east side of Rabbit Ears during the Colorado Beemers 100,000ft. ride...

A different transit of Rabbit Ears is contained in this video of Hwy 40 over Berthoud Pass, through Byers Canyon, and then Rabbit Ears (the top and descent to Steamboat Springs)...

This recording was part of a five day business trip ride to Salt Lake City, the Utah Canyons, SW Colorado, noted here:

Thanks everyone.

ShawnP... I rode Monarch, the Million Dollar Highway last September as well. Great ride isn't it! Left a report here:

Somehow I missed your other ride report Sfarson - wish I had seen it before I left! I really like the way you tied in the old photos with present photos...

It was a blast for me -- I really had some trouble for a while getting into the "rhythm" of the roads... ... Don't get a lot of practice in Olakahoma... :) And gawking off at the scenario didn't help either...

Shawn, I almost passed through Bartlesville this past summer on my way to North Carolina. At Pawhuska, after riding Hwy 60 across OK from the west I turned right/south onto Hwy 11 and went on to Tulsa before taking scenic 412 to Siloam Springs, AR for the night. I thought 11 was excellent, and have always felt eastern OK offered some of the best, and not widely known, riding around, from Disney/Spavinaw down to the Talimena. For years I would fly to Tulsa on business and drive a rental car to NW Arkansas. Once a year I'd take the bike on business and explore OK! :)

I never tire of seeing your videos. Nicely shot and beautiful country. :thumb I gotta get me to Colorado one of these days.

That's the best road in these parts...

Please, don't refer to the Disney/Spavinaw area anymore... ;-)

PM or email me if you ever head this way again...

It's difficult and maybe impossible for me to say whether I like your helmetcam, video, bike, or the mountains the best. Please keep 'em coming!
