'95 R100RT muffler replacement recommendations

My son lost the left muffler on his 1995 R100 RT while commuting to work today. The muffler is definitely gone, no sign of it on the highway.

One option is to replace just the left muffler with an original BMW part. Another option is to replace it with an aftermarket left and right pair. I"m assuming that aftermarket mufflers would only be sold as a pair.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an aftermarket muffler for that bike that would look and sound original.

just got some 38mm '78 stockers in the reserve cellar.

But I am curious; didnt he notice the difference ? Not necessarily in lean angle toward left and steering response lag to right
but in general engine noise & tone .

Hey if it wasnt noticable , maybe I dont need any at all and I got scammed outfitting 40s !

There are always a large assortment of used mufflers (silencers) on Ebay. They are also available new many places like Euro Motoelectric, Boxer 2 Valve, etc.

As a side note , I check these National CL search sites when on a difficult hunt for one of my ancient wrecks
or while out vacay'ing ( sick yeah - scoping CL like a travel guide). Dont scoff - its where I found mine !
