Well, as I always try to do, I just finished watching the 2015 R&R HOF ceremony broadcast on HBO.
This year was very good in, for me, it hit all the marks about as well as the marks can be hit. Excellent production and timing, acceptance speeches were real nice and sincere without trying to drag some political agenda into the mix, many of the inductees were still alive and able to enjoy another trip to the spotlight, musical talent was mixed to fill and enhance bands that were a little short on members and lastly, solo performances were fantastic!
It's nice to see what a musician can do in another setting and a surprise to watch. To see John Mayer, let loose on the blues guitar after inducting Stevie Ray Vaughn was spectacular.
If you are a fan of R&R or at least great performances, it's worth the watch.
