1978 R100RS Motosport Rear Fender

My 1978 R100RS Motorsport has a white rear fender pinstriped red and blue to match the bike. Most pictures I've seen show a black fender. I believe mine to be stock however I could be wrong. Anyone have any history to share as to the different paint schemes?

My now sold Motorsport had a black rear fender. The ad slick for them also shows a black fender. I had read that the person at the factory that pinstriped the bike put his initials on each piece. I cannot verify this, but my bike had initials under the painted pieces that I checked.
