The Sun is low in the sky, and there is ice on the puddles in Upstate NY these days.

Naval Air Museum Pensacola

:thumb
Riding cross country a couple of weeks ago I stopped in Pensacola and spent three nights on Perdido Key, love this area. I was stationed here in the Coast Guard years ago and it hasn't changed...still one of my favorite towns, would highly recommend the Naval Air Museum!

About Big Red in Post 317:

A bit over a year or so or two ago Voni was out riding the river road - I was puttering in the shop. My neighbor Charlie drove in and said:

"Voni called. She said she is at the Hotel in Lajitas. The bike is out at the Hoodoos. She said you should bring the trailer."

When I got to Lajitas I asked her what was wrong. She said "splines or driveshaft I think". A girl isn't even supposed to know this stuff.

So Big Red got put in the corner of the shed/garage/motorcycle storage facility for a while. A long while. But eventually she wound up on the lift with her pretty little backside hoisted skyward for three months while the transmission went traveling to Tom Cutter in Pennsylvania, and then the gearsets went on a foreign journey to Bruno in Ontario and then back to Pennsylvania, and flywheel, and assorted clutch parts from Germany came to the Texas Big Bend.

And finally, after I finished building the Solar Heater Box, and the glass-walled outdoor shower, and Manny the UPS guy placed a 51 pound box next to the lift so it would be convenient for me, and a day and a half of nuts and bolts -

yes indeed, Big Red lives!

Pull over!

While I wasn't on a one day ride per se, Officer V. was and was out "patrolling", enjoying the PCH last Sunday.
Besides being one happy MOA guy enjoying his BMW, it was also very nice to meet someone else who didn't know and could care less who was in that Super Bowl. :D

Nice to meet you "Officer V"!
