Fuel capacity on my bike...

HERRBAYEMVAY

Lovin' my CLC!
Maybe I'm just overlooking it, but I've looked at every page (twice now) in my Rider's Manual (US models) for my '84 R65 and I do not see any mention of the "official" fuel capacity for the bike. I had always thought it was 4.5 gallons plus reserve, but recently put a little over 5 gallons in the tank, something I've never done before! Anyone know? (My trip meter is messed up, which makes it harder to know about when I need to refuel.)

I thought the old R65 tank held 5.7-5.8 gallons, but some of it is not accessible because there is no petcock on the right hand side.

John,
Go here http://bmw.mc.no/bmw/r65-1.html
It appears to be 22 Liters or 5.8 Gallons just like Jon said. :clap
