Montana Ghost Town

Thanks Nathan. We're heading out that way next month, so we might have to give that a look. Is that a gravel road going in there?

Rinty

It's only gravel for the last mile or so.

Also on my list of ghost towns to go to that weekend were Virginia City and Coolidge. Unfortunately, I didn't make it. This website is the most professionally put together one I've found, but if you just google "Montana ghost towns," you'll find quite a bit of info.

Thanks for posting these. There's not a photo in the set that I don't like. Your point-n-shoot served you well. Great lighting and composition.

These remind me a great deal of the ghost town of Bodie here in California. Interesting that they would appear so similar being so far away from each other and in different climates.

Great shots!

I am planning a ride to Bodie next week. I am excited to see the place, I have heard a lot about it.

We have quite a few of them here. Stop at a visitor's center and pick up a free state map that points out old ghost towns and other historic sites.

Happy trails!
Bob

I just came across these. They are textbook examples of good composition! Exposure is dead on as well but the composition is what makes these seemingly simple objects into great shots. Well done!!!!!
